Family Faith n Fun Fair

What is a Family Faith n Fun Fair?
It's a 4-day event especially designed to welcome newcomers to the Hudson area (or those who have renewed their faith walk but don't have a church home) and to provide a noncommittal introduction to the faith community at Hudson Presbyterian Church.


When is this event?
Our faith n' fun fair is Sunday, August 16 through Wednesday, August 19, 2009. We will begin with dinner at 6:30 p.m. each night, divide up for the age-appropriate programs between 7:00 and 8:20, and finish with vespers (casual worship) at 8:40 p.m.


What will the programming be like?
Adults - Pastor Rus Howard will led adults in a study on Living Close to the Edge - Thriving in Today’s World.

Middle School and High School Youth - will join our youth director to explore the Christian themes, facts, and fictions as portrayed in a recent major super-hero movie.

Children from age 3 through (entering) 5th grade - will participate in a Vacation Bible School-style program with a summer camp theme: "Camp E.D.G.E." Each child enrolled in the VBS program will get am FREE theme t-shirt.

Infants and toddlers under age 3 - will be cared for in our nursery.


Who should attend the Family Faith n Fun Fair?
We encourage participation by the entire family! In the event some of your family members are unable to attend, we welcome those of you who can. Children in the VBS program must have a participating/volunteering parent on-site at this event.


How Much Does it Cost?
This event-dinner and program-is entirely free of charge, but we'll welcome free-will contributions of any amount towards the costs.


What happens after the Family Faith n Fun Fair?
Children in the VBS program are invited back on Thursday, August 20 during the regular times for a pizza party and concluding program.

Adults will have the evening free for last minute school shopping, fellowship, or whatever!

All are invited join us for our regular worship each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. We hope you'll feel called to make HPC your church home!


Where is Hudson Presbyterian Church located?
The church is on the west side of the intersection of Rt. 303 (W. Streetsboro St.) and Boston Mills Road. The parking lot is entered only from the Boston Mills side. Dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall which is entered through the lower level doors on the north side of the church.

Do I need to pre-register? How do I sign-up?
Pre-registration helps us provide the right amount of food for everyone, but if your schedule does not permit you to make a firm commitment in advance, we will welcome you anyway!

Walk-ins for the VBS program may or may not have a shirt available, depending upon supplies.
